The students had been assigned section #1 of the “I am the Historian” Packet for homework. It detailed the struggle for peace following WWI. It seems that these packet homework reviews allow for a great deal of structured participation. But a few students do not seem to like them… I think I will go back to taking notes for the very last chapter that I cover so that I can determine what sort of participation voluntary note-taking (followed by a quiz) can engender.
Today we began to watch the Movie Tucker: the Man and His Dream, which combines our most recent class topics of government, automobiles and economics. The students seem to enjoy the film. I enjoy stopping periodically and explaining certain things in the movie.
